The United Nations’ human ‘rights’ council - WaPo
In case LGF’s readership did not see this over the weekend (I just saw it today, courtesy of the excellent Eye on the UN Web site [eyeontheun.org]), even the WaPo’s editorial board has begun waking up to the failure of the Obama Administration’s decision to grant credibility to the sham known as the UN Human Rights Council. In my opinion, I don’t think the WaPo goes nearly far enough, because the flaws in the organization are structural and unfixable. However, given the head in the sand position taken by the WaPo until now, these baby steps are all that can reasonably be expected. We can be sure the decision-makers in the White House will take note. That said, in my view, the only morally appropriate position for the U.S. to take with respect to the UNHRC is to resign and withdraw all support until and unless the organization is cleaned out and cleaned up from top to bottom.
